The CyDat Power Island
Our data center will be more self-sufficient and less vulnerable to interruption due to force majeure causes if it is not dependent on the power grid for electric power. The data center will produce its own primary and backup electric power from an off-grid, project-owned power island to be constructed on the data center site. The power island will consist of natural gas-fired turbines that are arranged in a modular manner on the power island site, with the planned ability to add additional turbines to the power island as demand requires. Back-up power and redundancy for power contingencies and maintenance will be supplied through the use of a secondary natural gas-fired turbine, with additional backup power to be supplied by diesel fueled generators.
The CyDat Cooling Method
The biggest challenge a data center faces is keeping up with the constant growth of processing and storing data. As your organization grows you rely on the data center to keep up with such changes. This is why CyDat will be building four module suites and its own power island. However, with more growth in the same space means more heat density. CyDat's design will yield a low PUE number for numerous reasons; the most significant is the use of adiabatic cooling.
Adiabatic cooling requires no chillers, thermal storage tanks, cooling towers, sump pit and water pumps and will use outside air for cooling a large portion of the year. These are just a few examples that make it environmentally friendly, reliant on minimal power and having the lowest pricing structure for your organization.

Significant Leasing Capability
The data center's modular design will allow high utilization of the assets, while also translating into lower costs for customers. The design allows us to provide individual data center space to meet the immediate needs of customers on a modular basis. The modularity will allow the addition of incremental equipment to increase power densities as customers’ power needs increase, which provides customers a significant amount of flexibility to manage their IT demands.
The data center features large, private spaces with scalable, highly resilient and redundant metered power configurations designed to specific individual customer requirements. CyDat's customized data center houses customer-critical IT infrastructure and provides tenants with a cost-effective, efficient and low-risk alternative to building, buying or expanding their own data centers. The data center also gives customers added financial and contractual flexibility for power and space by leveraging the scale, design and flexibility.
Many organizations need access to a comprehensive set of IT infrastructure solutions to support both legacy and emerging IT applications. With this in mind, CyDat has designed a fully integrated platform that offers a unique and comprehensive portfolio of data center products that allows us to meet the IT infrastructure needs of our customers.
Leasing terms will be leased upon customer requirements and customized terms available. The lease will be on a triple net basis with the rent amount based upon the square footage used. Based on a bundled flat rate, customers will pay a fixed monthly lease amount, which includes the cost of sub-metered electricity. The bundled rate pays for the actual direct power used, plus a PUE factor to reimburse the utility costs associated with cooling and other related operating expenses.
Service
The CyDat data center provides a customized solution with exceptional service. CyDat plans to take a consultative approach to understanding the unique requirements of each customer, and deliver a customized data center solution to match an individual company's needs.
